I finally finished it. The original Walking Talking Dragons is now done. My mother actually came up with the cool name so thanks mom. it was hard to find the right background for the dragons and I hope i picked right. After staring at something like this for hours on end, it gets hard to tell what looks right. Tell me what you think and if you think I should make any changes.
I think this is a beautiful piece. I love the whole concept. Usually you see a lot of stereotypical backgrounds and poses for pictures with dragons and I have to say I don't think I've ever seen dragons walking through a forest with flowers around. I love how it looks like the adult dragon is telling the baby some point, even gesticulating with one hand, and the hatchling is listening with rapt attention.
As far as technique goes, it looks very good to me. I'll be the first to admit I'm not the biggest expert on digital art but the shadows are in the right places, you've got a stationary light source and the shadows fit with it. The dragons are proportional. Something looks strange to me about the adult dragon's left foreleg. The claw/hand looks a little off to me. The wings look great, the tail fades off in the distance, the ridges along their necks look great. I'm curious about the baby dragon, the way his forelegs are, I can't tell what foot he has planted on the ground. It almost looks like he's reared up on his hind legs, sort of the way a raptor might be. Also, looking at the adult's back legs, the way the chest is turned toward the viewer, it seems to me as though the hind part of the body wouldn't curve around quite so far. Then again, the dragon could have a longer, serpentine body so maybe it does. All in all, I think this is a gorgeous piece, the dragons look magnificent, I love their design. Absolutely beautiful.
I like it. The color's a bit green. There should be some red flowers with the blue, and maybe even pink. Color balance. The dragons look bland when you compare them to the foilage.
WOW!!! Thats GREAT!! i think that the little 1 is beter then the big 1 though,
a few things about the big 1:
1) i cant really see his eyes... important probably only to me...
2)i dont get whats up with his claw... (ah i got it now, takes a while)
3) i dont really like the wings, it sorta looks like the thing on his tail is part of it...
1) its too realistic comparing to da dragons
2) its too much green (as per first commentor)
3) it needs somethin dark... somethin bright at da same time... sparkles?
nwez, i love da dragons, cos they're A++++ but i don't really like da bg...
btw, i had an image of da dragons in other space hahahah like walking thru a maze of planets... like a mother tryin to educate her child about da universe... hahahah im so insane

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.
Great picture, it's awsome don't change a damn thing! brilliant artist *stalks artist* tee hee hee, Wait...did you make the background or impose them on it?
-- I think I used to have a purpose...then again it might have been a dream, I think I used to have a voice...now I never make a sound...
What's wrong with the larger one? o.o; His wings are anotomicly correct. However you spell it xD Perhaps you aren't used to the angle--but they are. His claws are..claws o.o; They're good, so far as i can tell. Mmm..they're both so pleasingly shiny. x3
Hmm..to blend a bit more into the background(Which i, personally, love with those two..it just seems so natural xD)..maybe, since the scales seem so shinily metallic, maybe a hint of reflected greens, near to the legs and bellies? And..hrm..a bit of a shadow below them? That might help it blend more. -nodnods-
This is a very very good one. x3 -Covets- They're so shiny. I like them more than i did at first! +fav for sure.
