The final round of Senior announcements for 2009!

This here is a graphite drawing I did a few years back that took me an entire semester to draw. Doing the perspective drawing of the building by hand was a pain. It’s been hanging on my wall and I just now decided to take it down and submit a pic of it. The thing was way to big for my scanner so I had to take a pic of it with my digital camera. This was the pride and joy of my first gallery show and I haven’t been motivated to do something as elaborate as this in a long time. Most of the other stuff in my gallery comes straight from my sketch book. The Drawing itself is 16” / 24”. Now that I have a decent picture of it I plan on giving it some color in Photoshop CS and hope it comes out well. So look forward to it.

The intire semester was definitely worth it in my opinion =3
Even from the building windowns, its easy to tell that you've used a 3-point perspective measure. The reflections on the glass windows are a very nice touch as well! I really like the gleam/reflection/shine that is on Leviathans head, but the body however, seems lacking in terms of that similar shine as well (provided that the body has a similar texture to the head) Looking forward to the coloured version! -- Portable Rig: Sansa Fuze -> 75-Ohm Adapter -> Shure SE420 --- Home Rig: iRiver H120 -> Canare L-4E6S -> Xenos 1HA-EPC -> EA RP-21 Wow, I truely LOVE the detail that you put into this! The building is an awesome touch.
-- Oh wow, this is graphite? those reflections are fantastic and i love the leviathan.
i love the effect it has as a monochrome image - don't colour it! One question: how did it get threaded into the buliding? is there a story to go with the picture? -- Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup |
